Anatomy and Physiology I

Catalog description
This is the first semester of a two semester sequence in human anatomy and physiology. A body systems approach is used with emphasis on the contribution of each body system to the maintenance homeostasis and the relationship between form and function of body organs. This course covers basic chemistry, cell biology, histology, and the skeletal, muscular and nervous systems. Three hours per week are allotted for hands on laboratory experience. The laboratory includes human cadaver study. Three hours lecture/three hours lab per week. Course accepted by select college - see advisor for more information.
