Catalog description
Introduces the professional skills, behaviors, and characteristics essential for success in healthcare practice. Emphasis is placed on understanding the healthcare industry, including health and safety regulations, professional standards, and employability expectations. Develops foundational clinical competencies through comprehensive patient assessment, beginning with general head-to-toe evaluation and progressing to focused integumentary, cardiovascular, and chest/pulmonary assessments. Teaches to recognize and document normal and abnormal findings while building the critical thinking and communication abilities necessary for safe, effective patient care.
