Catalog description
Builds upon concepts from foundational nursing courses, focusing specifically on maternal-newborn nursing during the childbearing continuum (ante- to postpartum) and the newborn period. Emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of common alterations in maternal and neonatal health. Introduces essential pediatric nursing concepts, highlighting the care of the well and acutely ill child and the critical role of the family. Includes experience with high-fidelity simulation, as well as a community-based setting. Arts & Sciences Elective Code: B
