Studies the identification and use of a set of annual, herbaceous perennial, and woody ornamental shrubs and trees currently used in Midwestern landscape horticulture. Includes the identification of plants using botanical nomenclature, the specific cultural requirements of each plant and how the plant can be used in landscape design.
