Catalog description

Provides clinical experiences to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe patient care to adult patients and families with health alterations that require medical and/or surgical intervention in a variety of settings. Incorporates application of the nursing process, advanced assessment skills, family-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, cultural sensitivity, use of informatics and evidence based practice to promote clinical reasoning and safe practice. Completing the lab portion is required before progressing to clinical. Arts & Sciences Elective Code: B
