This course examines issues related to the biblical question of unity among followers of Jesus, including the study of various understandings of the Body of Christ which inform how Christian and Messianic believers relate to and cooperate with one another, specific historical contexts related to Christian unity such as the ecumenical movement, and practical efforts at cultivating Christian unity in their formal and informal, as well as regional and local, expressions.
