Introduces the selection, use and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic testing for patient-centered care, through synthesis of evidence-based practice in the evaluation and management of acute and chronic conditions. The concepts of diagnostic and laboratory stewardship are introduced, and clinical judgement is developed through integration of patient health data and diagnostic findings.
