This course explores global sustainability challenges through Italian fashion practices and heritage-based case studies. It aims to shape a new generation of professionals who prioritize environmental, social, economic and cultural responsibility both as designers and merchandisers. Students are encouraged to analyze a rapidly changing world and envision alternative futures for fashion, rethinking how fashion is designed, produced and experienced. The course advocates for a redefined fashion system that centers nature and leverages economic prosperity to foster both ecological and social sustainability.
