(Slashed with ENGR 52711 and ENGR 72711 ) This course is the laboratory component for the corequisite course. This course is designed to provide engineering students with knowledge about all available rapid prototyping and rapid tooling techniques. Topics covered include fundamentals of rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing, reverse engineering, CAD modeling and current 3D printing technologies. Additional concepts important to product development within the aviation industry and medical applications are addressed and exercised during term projects. This course helps prepare students to pass the SME-AM certification exam.
