INTRODUCTION TO ETHICS (KHUM)      3 Credit Hours

Catalog description

Course is designed to introduce students to questions of value (right/wrong, good/bad) and the systematic analysis of those questions. This course examines minimally three competing ethical theories using primary sources: virtue ethics (Aristotle), deontological ethics (Kant) and utilitarianism (J.S. Mill). The theories are critically assessed and students are asked to think about whether and how each theory is useful when assessing "real world" questions.
