This course takes a historical approach to explore the development of natural philosophy to modern science, with an emphasis on nursing science under the influence of Western ideas. It emphasizes how ontological and epistemological values have shaped the scientific method during the pre-modern, modern and post-modern periods. Additionally, it delves into emerging philosophical concepts such as artificial intelligence, moral and ethical development and health equity.
