Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the principles of building construction, systems, assemblies, and building codes and regulations. Topics include-building structural systems, assemblies, environmental comfort, building safety, security, controls, and mechanical, electrical and, plumbing systems that influence and interact with interior design. This course examines the principles, regulations, systems, materials and details that comply with building code and regulations. Study of the principles and practice of sustainable design are continued.
