Catalog description
The goal of this course is to achieve basic to intermediate competency with reading modern Japanese, develop reading strategies and comprehend and discuss the content of the readings. The course is conducted in both English and Japanese and consists of close, collaborative readings of texts. Students are required to give small presentations and complete weekly assignments and quizzes. There is also a midterm and final exam.
