This course is an introduction to theoretical ideas in interior design and explores its conceptual relationships with other disciplines including art, architecture, fashion, environmental psychology, and the social sciences. Topics include: theories of the body in interior space, environmental psychology, sustainability, theories of technology, cultural studies, activist practice, and inclusive design. Readings will be drawn from both the humanities and social sciences.
