(Repeatable for credit) This course provides practice translating a wide range of scientific, technical and medical text genres from students' language of specialization into English. The importance of accuracy with these translation domains is perhaps as paramount as any writing could be, often meaning the difference between safety and disaster for equipment, or life and death for people. At the same time, translations for this domain help keep products and services flowing and properly branded all over the world. The skills learned throughout this course transfer not only to future courses, but also the work setting.
