Catalog description

Students will learn to respond to medical emergencies with wilderness first aid training when faced with limited resources, longer times to care for someone and decisions about when and how fast to evacuate an ill or injured person. Upon successful completion of the course, participants may earn a Red Cross WRFA certification good for two years. This course is immersive and includes outdoor experiences which will occur for one six-hour Saturday session in addition to the recurring class time.
