Catalog description

Students design an evidence-based practice (EBP) project for implementation in a healthcare and /or community setting. Students evaluate and apply EBP models to real-world clinical problems, emphasizing the integration of research findings into practice. Key topics include formulating the clinical PICO(T) question, conducting systematic reviews and utilizing advanced search strategies for literature retrieval. Students assess the quality of evidence and apply it to health care settings, enhancing decision-making skills and promoting quality improvement in diverse healthcare environments. Course concludes with successful passage of the D.N.P. project proposal. Course includes a required 150-hour practicum.
