Catalog description

This course introduces students to the role of the Doctor of Nursing Practice within various healthcare settings. It provides an overview of the D.N.P. role of leadership, policy advocacy, interprofessional collaboration and the integration of evidence-based practice into clinical decision-making. Students differentiate the role of the D.N.P.- and Ph.D.- prepared nurse, as well as describe the collaborative opportunities for D.N.P.- and Ph.D.- prepared nurses to impact health outcomes.
