Catalog description
Further development of a foundation for competent clinical practice within a health care setting. Advances the student’s practice of women’s primary health care of patients from adolescence to post-menopause. Included are principles of growth and development, health promotion, disease prevention and management of common acute and chronic health problems. Pathophysiology, assessment and diagnostic techniques specific to acute and common problems are stressed. Strategies for enhancing, maintaining, and restoring health are emphasized. Coordination of care with an interdisciplinary team for collaboration and the use of community resources are also emphasized.
