Catalog description
In this practicum course, students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate pharmacological and biological interventions with applied clinical skills to restore the patient to health and prevent further disability. Through a combination of theoretical learning and practical experiences, students learn how to use prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments and therapies in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. Group supervision is provided. A minimum of 150 practicum hours is required.
