Catalog description

Application and further development of the clinical nurse specialist (CNS) role introduced in NURS 60110 , within adult and gerontological populations. The focus is on continued development of CNS competencies within the patient sphere of impact to promote equitable, evidence-based, person-centered advanced nursing care. Students develop CNS competencies in the nurse sphere of impact involving mentoring, coaching, role modeling and education with the interdisciplinary health care team. Evaluation of gaps and outcomes of care, including quality and safety, are examined.
