POPULATION-BASED NURSING FOR PROFESSIONAL NURSING PRACTICE

Focuses on concepts of population-based nursing practice with emphasis on improving the health of diverse communities and populations, both locally and around the world. Students will gain insight into the health disparities facing diverse populations and cultures in the United States and throughout the world. Students will use an epidemiologic approach to assess community health and identify subgroups within the community or globally that are at risk for disease, disability, and premature death. Students taking this course must be registered nurses. This course is designated for Nursing for Registered Nurses students with a current or verifiable nursing license only. Please see your academic advisor for special approval to register for this course.
