Catalog description

Focuses on the development of therapeutic relationships with individuals, families and vulnerable populations across the lifespan who have potential and or identified mental health needs. Students learn and apply theory about mental health and illness and demonstrate psychiatric nursing skills and interventions in caring for persons living with mental illness. This course integrates concepts to prepare students to deliver culturally congruent and appropriate care.
