PROFESSIONAL NURSING DEVELOPMENT

Catalog description

This course focuses on professional development and transition from student to graduate nurse. Emphasis is on professional role development through exploration of contemporary nursing issues in healthcare economics; diversity, equity and inclusion of the workforce; nursing theory; the future of nursing and health care; and the importance of self-care and lifelong learning. Students are encouraged to apply critical thinking strategies and self-reflection during classroom discussions, assignments and presentations.
