(Slashed with MUS 48250 ) Study of pedagogical methodologies and practices. Drawing on discoveries of cognitive neuroscience, this course explores the connection between the human brain and music making, teaching and learning. The course content covers a range of topics, such as the ways that the brain processes musical learning, practical approaches to music teaching, pedagogical challenges of the digital age, understanding emotion and empathy and developing interdisciplinary teaching strategies.
