Catalog description

Study and practice of implementing traditional and contemporary choral methods, materials and literature within elementary and secondary choral music programs. Course includes, but is not limited to, experiencing designing a K-12 vocal and choral curriculum, advocacy and assessment specific to choral music, lesson planning, program organization, budget and exposure to philosophical perspectives toward teaching P-12 choral music. 20 clinical field experience hours within choral music teaching are required.
