This course explores key events and institutions shaping the geographic region that became Ohio, from prehistory to present day with an emphasis on the social, cultural, political and economic history of the region. Topics include the historical significance of Ohio's geography, role and contributions of Native American people, transition to statehood and modern economic and political developments.
