Students in this course will explore higher education in the United States with a specific focus on the practice of student affairs. Course topics include student affairs functional areas, professional associations, competencies and professional development. Students will also examine the types and major functions of colleges and universities, history of U.S. higher education and laws and regulations affecting higher education
