BASIC PROFESSIONAL FRENCH (ELR)

Catalog description

This conversation course is offered to students enrolled in professionally-oriented programs during their semester or summer abroad in Paris. Students practice the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) with a focus on vocabulary and expressions relevant to professional contexts, including applying for positions, French workplace culture and reading and writing business documents. Comparative and critical analyses of French and American professional practices develop students’ intercultural competence.
