Catalog description

Purpose is to learn, understand and perceive the new luxury market and its defining parameters. Students explore how luxury brands create value and cultural influence through legacy and storytelling. The course examines luxury as a social and aesthetic phenomenon, a space where identity and aspiration intersect. Emphasis is placed on fashion as a core driver of the industry, while also considering how other sectors contribute to shaping contemporary notions of desire, exclusivity and value. Through case studies, mentor sessions and retail analysis, students gain insight into both the organization of luxury companies and cultural narratives that sustain them.
