Catalog description
This course examines the structures, systems and actors within African fashion retail and supply chains for both domestic and export markets. Students study formal and informal production pathways, distribution networks, consumer segments, retail formats and regional trade policies shaping the fashion economy across the continent. The course highlights merchandising strategies, sustainability issues and market-entry considerations for brands seeking to operate in Africa or scale African fashion globally. This course is offered in Kigali, Rwanda. Students must be enrolled at Kent State's Rwanda location to receive credit.
