This course provides essential knowledge for working safely in industrial environments. Focusing on key principles that apply to a variety of situations, this course emphasizes strategies for ensuring personal safety and protecting the well-being of others. Topics covered include OSHA regulations, safety standards from government agencies, physical safety measures and health protection practices. Additionally, the course explores the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for chemical classification and labeling. This course serves as a comprehensive introduction to workplace safety and prepares students for specific company safety programs that may be implemented now or in the future.
