(Slashed with CMGT 42059 ) This course provides an in-depth exploration of the operational complexities involved in delivering successful mass timber construction projects. Anchored in the five core pillars of construction management (safety, quality, cost, schedule and sustainability), the course examines how each is uniquely influenced by mass timber technologies and practices. Students trace the historical evolution of mass timber and gain insight into its growing role in modern construction. The course covers supply chain logistics, risk assessment and mitigation, compliance with evolving codes and standards and integration of sustainable strategies. Through real-world case studies and practical applications, students develop the knowledge and skills needed to manage the unique challenges and opportunities presented by mass timber projects.
