(Slashed with ARCH 45215 ) Investigates architecture from the 1920s through the 1970s. Discusses architectural developments in light of technology, ideology, revolution, war, globalization, media, criticism, consumerism, protest and decolonization. Studies and interrogates the traditional architectural canon and brings to light the contributions of women and minority architects. Engages students in graduate-level research about topics surrounding mid-20th century architecture.
