Catalog description

This course introduces students to modern digital systems through a hands-on survey of embedded platforms, programmable logic and system-level integration. Students explore microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino), single-board computers (e.g., Raspberry Pi), digital logic fundamentals, sensors/actuators and communication interfaces. Emphasis is placed on practical design, prototyping and evaluation of digital systems used for engineering applications. By the end of the course, students are able to design, implement and test functional embedded solutions that bridge hardware and software.
