RESEARCH IN HEALTH DISPARITIES      3 Credit Hours

Catalog description

This course focuses on the definition, principles and concepts for health disparities research and minority health outcomes. The goal is to explore the different government agencies that lay the groundwork for the development of the science related to health disparities. Students understand some of the social determinants that cause, sustain or mitigate health disparities, and how the knowledge will translate into interventions in reducing these disparities.
