(Slashed with ARTE 41004 ) The purpose of this course is to demonstrate the importance of design as functional art and provide strategies for teaching design as part of an art education curriculum. Class foci is placed primarily on developing lessons to address various design genres and disciplines, gathering research resources and examining strategies and materials with available technologies appropriate for students in elementary, middle and high school.
