BASIC CONVERSATIONAL FRENCH (ELR) 2 Credit Hours
Kent State University at Ashtabula · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course is offered to students who are studying in Paris and have little to no previous experience in French, and helps students acquire competencies in all four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The course has a practical focus on opportunities for self-expression in everyday situations (transportation, shopping, dining), as well as in professional contexts (internships, workplace, studio). The course develops intercultural competence through a comparative, critical approach to the study of language and culture. Students are encouraged to complete MCLS 23217 before their semester abroad.
