Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth examination of the leadership and operational responsibilities involved in public relations (PR) as the management function that builds and maintains strategic communication between corporations, nonprofits, and public relations agencies and their publics. Students will analyze and develop organizational structures, conduct managerial-level strategic planning, develop team leadership approaches, and role play client relations and performance evaluation scenarios in the context of today’s constantly evolving business environment. Emphasis is on developing managerial skills necessary to lead effective, ethical, and high-performing PR teams.
