Catalog description

In this course, students apply advanced nursing knowledge and leadership concepts in ambulatory and acute care settings to support the transition to professional nursing practice. Additionally, in simulated and community settings students implement principles of population health and their application in nursing practice to promote health equity and improve outcomes across diverse communities. They refine skills in communication, care coordination, and evidence-based decision-making while working with interprofessional teams. The course emphasizes quality improvement, safety, and systems-based care. These experiential learning opportunities prepare students for safe, effective entry-level nursing practice.
