Catalog description
In this course, students develop leadership knowledge and skills for transition to entry-level nursing practice, with an emphasis on the nurse’s role within healthcare and social systems. They synthesize knowledge from all previous nursing and supportive courses to manage evidence-based care and develop leadership skills. Students also examine population health concepts to address health disparities and improve community health. The course explores the nurse’s role as care provider, communicator, teacher, and leader.
