Catalog description

In this course, students learn to provide comprehensive person and family-centered care to obstetric patients and their newborns, individuals with complex physical and mental health needs, and members of special populations across the lifespan. Students expand their clinical reasoning, safety practices, and ethical decision-making. Advanced care strategies are explored, including critical thinking in clinical situations, interdisciplinary collaboration, advocacy and culturally responsive approaches to care.
