Catalog description

In this course, students expand their knowledge of pharmacology by applying core principles to the care of diverse patients across the lifespan. Students learn to evaluate medication effectiveness, recognize adverse effects and interactions, and implement safety strategies with high-alert medications. The course emphasizes advanced dosage calculations, interprofessional communication, patient education, and medication adherence support. Students strengthen clinical judgment and apply pharmacologic knowledge to promote safe, individualized nursing care.
