Catalog description

In this course, students explore the role of nursing scholarship, which includes research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice, in advancing nursing care. Students examine ethical and legal considerations in research, including protection of human subjects. They also learn how to locate, critically appraise, and apply evidence from diverse sources. By comparing different approaches to nursing inquiry, students develop skills to collaborate with healthcare teams, inform clinical decisions, and propose evidence-based changes that improve patient outcomes.
