Catalog description

Students are introduced to the foundational elements of professional identity in nursing. Students explore the values, standards, and responsibilities of the nursing profession, including ethical practice, accountability, and lifelong learning. Students explore and reflect on personal values, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness, while developing strategies to build resilience. Students develop the skills, personal strategies, and professional mindset necessary to support their success throughout the BSN program and into their nursing careers. Emphasis is placed on developing effective communication skills and professional conduct that support both personal and professional growth in nursing practice.
