Catalog description

In this course, students examine the physiological and pathological mechanisms underlying common and complex health conditions across the lifespan. Students explore alterations in cellular and systemic function to understand the development and progression of disease. Emphasis is placed on connecting clinical signs and symptoms to underlying pathophysiology and understanding the rationale for medical and nursing interventions. The course fosters clinical reasoning by helping students interpret how pathophysiological processes influence patient outcomes and inform evidence-based nursing care.
