Catalog description

This course provides music therapy students with expanded clinical experience and increasing responsibility in a supervised setting. Students engage in structured music therapy sessions across diverse populations, with emphasis on session planning, treatment documentation, therapeutic communication, and professional ethics. Building on prior practica, students are expected to demonstrate greater independence in leading interventions, integrating music therapy methods with clinical goals, and applying theoretical knowledge to practice. Regular supervision and reflective assignments guide students in refining their clinical musicianship, interpersonal skills, and professional identity as developing music therapists.
