Catalog description

The development of specific teaching skills, techniques, and materials to support the role of the orchestra instrumental music teacher. The course prepares prospective instrumental music specialists for all aspects of the role including curriculum design, classroom environment and management, rehearsal procedures, methodologies, and the study of appropriate literature. Field component, peer teaching, and laboratory conducting are required. Teacher education coursework involving field and clinical experiences require verification of liability insurance and a current GaPSC Pre-Service Certificate issued through enrollment in a KSU program.
