Catalog description

This capstone field experience provides teacher candidates with full-time, supervised student teaching in a Health and Physical Education setting. Candidates apply instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and assessment practices in real-world environments to support student learning and skill development. Emphasis is placed on planning and delivering standards-based instruction, adapting to learners’ needs, and demonstrating professional responsibilities. Candidates work closely with mentor teachers and university supervisors to refine their teaching practice and meet certification requirements.
