Catalog description

This course provides a managerial survey of the airline industry, examining how airlines are structured and operate, including network planning, scheduling, fleet and crew management, and maintenance. Students analyze airline economics, cost structures, pricing, and revenue management strategies, as well as marketing and distribution channels. The course also addresses international aviation policy, global alliances, and regulatory oversight. Emerging issues such as technology, sustainability, and post-pandemic shifts are explored to equip students with analytical and strategic insights for managing airline operations.
